Unknown ruins along Lehigh Valley Railroad tracks, between the Water Street Bridge, and the Fort Jenkins Bridge which can be seen in the distance. The North Branch Canal ran through here until 1901, maybe these have something to do with that?

Scranton: Arts on Fire Festival

The Arts on Fire Festival was held today at the Scranton Iron Furnace. This structure was used by the Lackawanna Iron & Coal Company from 1845 - 1902. The LI&C Co. later became known as the Lackawanna Iron & Steel Company.

St. Mary's Cemetery


St. Mary's Cemetery looking towards the I-81 "Cemetery Bridges" from Monday afternoon. At the bottom of the cemetery, where the fence is located is Old Log Road, below that is Stafford Meadow Brook, opposite that is the Laurel Line tracks, and the remnant of the Lackawanna Iron & Coal Company Railroad, sometimes known as Ore Mine Road.

After exiting the tunnel, Philadelphia Suburban 80, heads south towards the Stafford Avenue bridge, which is partially obscured by foliage. Along this stretch was once the Laurel Line's South Scranton station.
