Lackawanna Avenue Clock
Monthly reminder that the clock in the 500 block of Lackawanna Avenue is still not working. It's been out of service for about two years that I know of, possibly longer. The City clearly doesn't care about this, that loser Andy Mehalshick of WBRE-TVs I-Team blocked me on Twitter when I asked him about this, what a creep. This clock is somewhat symbolic about the situation the city is in, the elected officials are all out for themselves, could care less about this clock, they're not collecting any "campaign contributions" from this. New Mayor/Crook takes office next week, I doubt if anything in this corrupt town will change.

Steamtown Mall
The Steamtown Mall was a lot more crowded this season than last. While it's not like the halcyon days of the 90's, it sure isn't the ghost town it was a few years ago.

Festival of Trees
We stopped by the Festival of Trees at the Steamtown Mall over the weekend. It would be nice if the carts weren't blocking the view of some of the trees, this happened last year as well.

End of the Miles Theatre
The Miles Theatre opened at 2071 East 9th Street to much fanfare on October 26, 1913, less attention was payed at the end. C.F. Miles thought he was another Albee, he wasn't, the theatre had a number of names over the years, Miles, Columbia, Federal, and eventually the Carter. I missed it's passing by a week.

Icy Sidewalks
Icy sidewalks on the Harrison Avenue Bridge. The City of Scranton hold pedestrians in contempt, every winter city owned sidewalks around the city are usually covered with snow and ice, at the same time city officials are on telly threatening homeowners with fines for not clearing walks, but they don't have to follow their own rules. The most dangerous walks to walk upon are on the bridges, forcing pedestrians to dodge cars in the streets. When there's a heavy snowfall the city plows snow onto the walks, effectively closing off the sidewalks for pedestrians.
