Sidewalks
In most cities, they clear a lane of parking for outdoor dining. In Scranton they take over the sidewalks, forcing pedestrians into busy streets. It's almost like the city is being run by a bunch of clueless jackasses.

Lackawanna Avenue Clock
Funny how the news media gave extensive coverage to a nearby mural, yet none noticed the clock that hasn't worked for years.Typical, the local media sure won't rock the boat around here.

New Mural
Not quite sure what to make of this new mural, just a few feet from the famous broken clock on Lackawanna Avenue. Most towns around here have murals that show the historic significance of the town. Here in Scranton they chose a foreign pop singer who never came within 100 miles of town.

Steamtown: COVID SAFETY ALERT!!!!!
Steamtown now has these absurd alert signs warning of the China Virus, as if these static displays out in the yard are super spreaders. With all the museum buildings closed, now only a small section of the yard is open to the public. These areas had always been open to the public, but were abruptly closed a couple weeks ago. Why bother coming with nothing open? I suspect it has more to do with lazy overpaid government employees more than anything else. Contrast this stupidity with the neighboring Electric City Trolley Museum, which not only is open, but, unlike Steamtown, is also running excursions.

DL 2409 masquerading as Wabash 2409 at Steamtown last Saturday afternoon. This C424 was originally a Wabash unit built in 1964, and most recently worked for Associated Electric Co-Op.

Renaissance Park
We've been surprised Renaissance Park has been open every Saturday this summer. The last few years required calls to Steamtown which was pretty much unresponsive. I didn't think it would be open at all this year.
