February 9, 1969: Loew's State and Ohio Close

45 years ago tonight, Sunday, February 9, 1969, Loew's State and Ohio theatres closed. Star! at Loew's Ohio and Ice Station Zebra (in Cinerama) at Loew's State were the last in a string of flops for Loew's Inc. A little over three years later they were almost demolished to make way for a parking lot. Fortunately that did not happen.
