The Cleveland Museum of Art located at 11150 East Boulevard opened in 1916, and has been expanded several times. The museum, one of the finest in the world, still has free admission. We stopped by to see the Gordon Parks exhibit when we were in town a few weeks back.
Auguste Rodin’s The Thinker in front of the museum was cast under Rodin's direct supervision. This statue was bombed by leftest terrorists on March 24, 1970 in some sort of misguided protest, what remained of the statue was placed back upon it's pedestal where it remains today.
