The National Transit Building & Annex at 206 Seneca Street in Downtown Oil City was constructed by Standard Oil in 1890. Today the building that once controlled 80% of the worlds oil shipments is home to artists studios. Behind the adjacent Annex is a splendid little Victorian Garden overlooking Oil Creek. Oil City is a neat town with plenty of things to see and do, well worth a visit.
John D. Rockefeller, one of my favorite Clevelanders. I used to live around the corner from him, 70 years too late.
