The Railyard

New paint job on the Railyard, Lackawanna & Jefferson Avenues, looks better than the temporary banners they had for the last couple years. Old timers might remember when this was the Martz Bus station.

The few remaining 500 Block banners really should be replaced. These banners are about as shabby as the promises that put them there.

Illegal Dumping

Illegal dumping along Old Log Road, and nearby Stafford Meadowbrook, from Sunday morning. Maybe someday the city will have elected officials that cared about things like this. As of now, none of the councilmen, nor the mayor have been responsive to this issue.

The flatscreen is a new addition, the mattress above Laurel Line Tunnel has been there for a year or so. The city seems to be deaf and blind to reports about this, although to their credit, they must have gotten the other two mattresses that were also along Old Log Road last year, but this other stuff has been here for years.

Lackawanna Avenue Clock

The clock in the 500 block of Lackawanna Avenue still doesn't work. For at least eight years the taxpayer funded clock has been out of operation, two mayors and a half dozen city councilman could care less.

We were sure saddened to learn of Embassy Vinyl's closing. It was always a good place to stop by, we'll miss it as much as we do the Electric Mindshaft.
