Wilfred Sykes

The ore carrier Wilfred Sykes passing the Center Street Bridge on Saturday afternoon. According to Great Lakes Vessel History The Wilfred Sykes was built by American Shipbuilding in Lorain Ohio, entering service on April 19, 1950. The ship is 678 feet long and is one of the older carriers on the Lakes.

 We stopped by the Cleveland Market, on the grounds of the W. S. Tyler Company next to the Pennsylvania Railroad mainline into Cleveland at Superior Avenue. A cold and windy day, yet a good sized crowd was there.

Allen Theatre: Bee Gees

 A disastrous evening, Bee Gees played to about 4-500 people in a 2,800 seat theatre. Cleveland wasn't quite ready for Jive Talkin' as people stayed away in droves.
