Loew's State & Ohio Theatres Close

50 years ago today, Loew's State and Ohio closed. Few thought they would ever re-open. A couple years later a grassroots effort led by Ray Shepardson and a handful of others saved them.

On April 18, 1973 Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris opened. We had hoped it would run for a month, it ran for over two years.
