Carwanna Lunch: Carbondale Pa.

This small lunch counter is one of the best places for lunch in Carbondale. Located on Salem Avenue, between Main and Church Streets, it's been serving Carbondale since 1927. They have the best hamburgs in here. Their Texas Weiners are pretty good as well.

I am sad to say that the Carawana has moved to a new location , about 3 doors up from their original one. I had a chance to stop by this summer for dog and a burger. The quality of the sauce has really gone down hill, no taste at all, was like putting mush in your mouth. I didn't finish my meal. I have been going there most of my 62 years and sad to say this year was my last...I will miss the Carawana. Part of Carbondale history has died.

That was the best place, part of the attraction was the decor in side, those old booths were great.

The Carwanna in Carbondale is still the same ol' carwanna.. I would have to disagree with anyone who says that since they moved that the food has gone downhill... God I love that place... The carwanna is really changing things up these days (not their food quality)I hear they are open on friday and saturday nights from midnight to 4 am.... its called Carwanna "After Dark" what a great Idea!
