The Yardbirds at the Palace

46 years ago today, Thursday, April 25, 1968, the Yardbirds played the Palace, along with Traffic and Blue Cheer. This show was about four years ahead of my time. However what I do remember is in the soot above a radiator, by the house left stairs to the boxes, someone wrote "Forever the Yardbirds."
From the PD Action Tab, April 19, 1968. The information provided on the Yardbirds is rather dated, Paul Samwell-Smith had left the group almost two years earlier.
From the Plain Dealer, April 26, 1968.

This concert is listed in Greg Russo's excellent Yardbirds book as being at the Allen, which it certainly was not.

Underground Music. That's great. Blue Cheer the longest hair on record. God bless and God rest Jane Scott. And all that for $2.00!
