Kirk Douglas
The passing of Kirk Douglas reminded me the first picture I saw was Spartacus. I didn't see it at the Palace, Denison Square or the Lyceum most likely. My Grandmother liked the Big Carnival (aka Ace in The Hole), and would watch whenever it came on telly.

Loew's Granada Theatre
Loew's Granada, 11621 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland, an atmospheric theatre, was designed by Preston G. Bradshaw and opened on October 15, 1927. The 2,500 seat Granada was the only Loew theatre built on the west side, until Loew's West in 1966. Loew's operated the Granada until 1954 when it was sold to Associated Theatres. The Granada was razed in 1970.
