This is the "subway" under the Laurel Line tracks at the Luna Park station. The Laurel Line spent over $7,000 to add this station to the Dunmore Branch in the spring of 1906. Ridership, and park attendance, never reached the levels predicted and the park closed at the end of the 1916 season. It still looked like fall back here yesterday, dispite all the snow.

My father (John Shrader) was an engineer on the Laurel Line until he retired in the late 60s.
