New stairway under construction by the UofS football field, behind Lackawanna Station. The old stairs were wooden, and beginning to deteriorate, this is a much needed improvement. The large slab of concrete with the patch of grass on top is a footer of the old Spruce Street Bridge, demolished in 1969.
