Meadow Brook Valley

A view of the big pond by the crushed stone company, from last Monday morning.

An Old Fence Post

Not sure what this was from, but it's on the east side of the Laurel Line tracks, by milepost 3, near the remains of the Meadow Brook Crushed Stone Co. and by the big pond. It still has strands of barbed wire wrapped around it.

Erie Railroad: Wyoming Division

By the time we got down to the Little Virginia area, it was starting to either sleet, or hail. We're not sure which, but it was quickly becoming rather unpleasant. This is the Erie's bridge over Stafford meadow Brook. A few minutes after this, the sun came back out.

Nay Aug Falls & Elmhurst Boulevard

A 1912 postcard of Nay Aug Falls & Elmhurst Boulevard. I'm not exactly sure where this scene is located. It might be near the parking area along the road heading to where the Boulevard bridge was once located.

Erie Railroad: Wyoming Division

Looking north along the Erie Tracks, at about milepost 14.2.

Along the Erie

A view of one of the wetland areas along the Erie's Wyoming Division. In a few more weeks you won't be able to see this area because of the heavy growth.

Pennsylvania Coal Co. Railroad: Plane No.5

A little further down the cut, just abouve the Erie tracks. This is where loaded cars went up the plane. We still haven't figured out exactly where the cars went back down.

This is where the plane came up the side of East Mountain. This is just below the top of the plane.

Another view of the ruins of the plane.

Pennsylvania Coal Co Railroad: Plane No.5

Behind the circular area is what appears to be the remains of an old shack. It looks like parts of the plane ruins were used to build parts of it.
