We can never have enough photos of this. Last Sunday was the first time in years we were at this location on Ridge Row, by the Hat Factory.

Lackawanna Railroad: Nay Aug Tunnel

By the time the cloud of smoke had lifted, most of the train had disappeared into the tunnel.

Lackawanna Railroad: Nay Aug Tunnel

The train gods didn't smile upon us yesterday. We waited at the viewing platform in Nay Aug Park for the morning excursion to Tobyhanna. Shortly after 11 AM, it appeared in this cloud of smoke as Canadian National 3254 crosses Roaring Brook and heads into the west portal of Nay Aug Tunnel.

Scranton: The Cave

In researching Scranton's Rock and Roll past I came across a couple ads for this venue, The Cave at 315 North Main Street. The top one is from May 1967, the bottom from February 1967. I am hoping to find more information on this. The band, Nikle Bagge seems to have been active in 1967-68 using various spellings. Are any of these people still around? I found both of these ads in the University of Scranton Aquinas. Anyone with any knowledge of this, or any similar events please contact me.

Lackawanna Railroad: Scranton

Another view at Myrtle Street. We would like to look for another photo spot a little further east. Areas east of this location start getting increasingly remote and a little harded to get to.

Lackawanna Railroad, Scranton

Yesterday morning we had planned on catching the train at Nay Aug Tunnel, however a string of freight cars blocked the view. So we went down to the Myrtle Street crossing, near the Petersburg Silk Mill. This is a pretty good location.

Scranton: An Abandoned Road

We finally figured out the location of this abandoned stretch of Nay Aug Falls & Elmhurst Boulevard. This view is looking west, towards where the bridge over the Erie tracks once was. This is at milepost 14.1. The missing Erie milepost should be just west of this location, but we still can't find it.
