D&H Gravity Railroad Car

The Eclipse, D&H number 9 on display at the Wayne County Historical Society. This car was used to transport passengers on the D&H gravity between Honesdale and Carbondale from about 1880 until 1898.

Gravity Park

A few views of Gravity Park in Carbondale. This park was established in 1913 to commemorate the Delaware and Hudson's gravity railroad which passed through this site.

Cresco Station

A few views of the Lackawanna Railroad station at Cresco, MP 94.58, constructed in 1888.

Pocono Summit Station

The Lackawanna Station at Pocono Summit, MP 102.52, was built in 1911 and last saw regular passenger service in January 1970. The station was renovated in 1987 and saw some use in the early Steamtown years, but is now forlorn and empty.

A recently painted GTW 6039 was moved in the Steamtown Yard on Saturday morning.
