Lackawanna Avenue Clock
Your monthly reminder that the clock in the 500 block of Lackawanna Avenue still doesn't display the correct time, 49 minutes fast. This has been going on for over a year, apparently there's no one in the city of Scranton capable of handling this task.
Meanwhile when we were in Oil City a few weeks ago, couldn't help but notice their clock displayed the correct time. I suspect the reason the citizens of Oil City are "gushing with pride" is because they have a guy that knows how to set the time on a clock.

Cleveland Museum of Art
The Cleveland Museum of Art located at 11150 East Boulevard opened in 1916, and has been expanded several times. The museum, one of the finest in the world, still has free admission. We stopped by to see the Gordon Parks exhibit when we were in town a few weeks back.
Auguste Rodin’s The Thinker in front of the museum was cast under Rodin's direct supervision. This statue was bombed by leftest terrorists on March 24, 1970 in some sort of misguided protest, what remained of the statue was placed back upon it's pedestal where it remains today.

Petroleum Centre
Petroleum Centre was a short lived oil boom town pretty much abandoned by 1872. A few remnants remain, the railroad station is a replica.
Bits of machinery and remnants of old pumping operations dot the area.
