Scranton Road Baptist Church
The Scranton Road Baptist Church at 3095 Scranton Road. This church building was constructed in 1893 and has been cleaned up in recent years, It was almost a surprise to see the red brick, for years the building was coated in black soot from the nearby steel mills.

St. Michael Church and School
St. Michael Church at 3114 Scranton Road on Cleveland's west side was established in 1881, with the present church building dedicated on November 20, 1892.
I'm not 100% sure, but I believe this is the remaining part of the St. Michael statute that was once on the pedestal above the front entrance, between the spires. It fell onto the front steps in the mid-late 1960's.
The church building dominates the neighborhood, this is from a couple blocks away at West 25th Street & Prame Avenue.
The School building at 3146 Scranton Road was constructed in 1906-07, and has been closed for years. The lower level had a cafeteria, and the first two floors housed the grade school. St. Michael's High School, later one of the Cleveland Central Catholic campuses, occupied the third floor. I'm not sure what the top floor was used for. The school building is currently for sale.

Monroe Street Cemetery
The Monroe Street Cemetery at 3207 Monroe Street was formally dedicated on November 12, 1841, although there are graves that predate that date. This is the oldest cemetery on the west side of Cleveland and has been cleaned up in the last few years. Especially noteworthy is the gatehouse originally constructed in 1876, and was totally restored in 2014. The last time I was in here was in the fall of 1980 and it was a mess then.
