Lackawanna Avenue Clock
Monthly reminder that the clock in the 500 block of Lackawanna Avenue is still 49 minutes fast. Also Andy Mehalshick of WBRE-TVs I-Team is a creep who blocked me on Twitter when I asked him about this! (Clearly WBRE is not on our side).

Crossing Shanty
Delaware & Hudson crossing shanty, corner of Wyoming Avenue and Gibson Street. Looks like this is being taken care of, don't see too many of these around anymore, but this area had lots of them once-upon-a-time.

Glider Diner
Stopped by the Glider Diner, 890 Providence Road, the other day. Always worth the visit, cool place, nice people.

Woodstock
This weekend marked the 50th anniversary of the Woodstock Music and Art Fair. What a nightmare this must have been! God Bless John Roberts and Joel Rosenman!

506 Lackawanna Avenue
The boarded up storefront at 506 Lackawanna Avenue, from a few weeks ago. There used to be a restaurant in here years ago. We went here a lot in the latter part of the 1990's. We stopped going when we brought a longtime friend with us, who happens to be black, suddenly the good service turned awful. The once friendly waitress turned pretty nasty. we never went here again. A few years later the place burned, and has been an eyesore ever since. People that own the building couldn't get permits from the city to renovate the building for some reason, so it sits, slowly rotting away.

Kildare's
Kildare's Irish Pub at Lackawanna & Jefferson closed abruptly a couple weeks ago. I'm old enough to remember when this was the Martz Bus station.
