The Garden: A Mediterranean Restaurant
The Garden Restaurant, 116 North Washington Avenue is planning a soft opening tomorrow, with the formal opening set for Friday. Hope this lasts longer than the Belmont in this space. We'll have to check it out soon.

Anthracite Hi-Railers
The Anthracite Hi-Railers were set up again at the Steamtown Mall, they'll be open again next Saturday as well. The layout changes a bit each time we see it, and there's usually some different equipment running as well.

Loew's State & Ohio Theatres Close
50 years ago today, Loew's State and Ohio closed. Few thought they would ever re-open. A couple years later a grassroots effort led by Ray Shepardson and a handful of others saved them.

On April 18, 1973 Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris opened. We had hoped it would run for a month, it ran for over two years.
