The 59 year old Alhambra Theatre, at 10403 Euclid Avenue, closed following a film theft fifty years ago today. The postwar years saw the theatre playing mostly double bills to a dwindling audience. By 1970 the Uptown District was in serious decline, across the street Winston Willis was making a fortune off pornography and prostitution in the former Keith's 105th.
